Error description

  • Pop-up message is displayed when using the mcompile utility due
to names being longer than 32 characters.

Batch processing is stopped in a wait state if the mcompile
utility encounters an error and a pop-up message is displayed.

Websphere Transformation Extender map compile (mcompile) users

Problem Description:
In case of various unexpected errors, Mcompile utility pops up
diagnostic messages using windows Message Box. This can affect
batch processing.

Platforms Affected:
Windows

Problem conclusion

  • Mcompile has been enhanced with a new environmental setting:
MCOMPILE_SILENT
If this environment variable is set, mcompile utility will not
pop up message boxes, instead all messages will be printed to
the standard output.
