PM16340: TEXPORT FAILED MESSAGE WHEN FILE PATH INCLUDES DBCS CHARACTER BUT MTS IS CREATED

  • When using texport with a file path that includes a DBCS
character the message displayed is "Type tree export failed." ,
but the mts is created successfully.

Problem summary

  • Users Affected:
WebSphere Transformation Extended texport utility customers
using Japanese locale

Problem Description:
If texport  o command line option is used to redirect the output
to the directory and that directory name includes Japanese
characters from double byte character, texport fails to properly
resolve the output path.

Platforms Affected:
Windows

Problem conclusion

  • Correct character set conversion functions to use proper locale
defined by the customer. Windows API functions used for
conversion are changed to use the currently set default Windows
ANSI codepage.
