Problem

What Compression Format does WebSphere Partner Gateway (WPG) use for AS2 Compression?

Resolving The Problem

As per AS2 RFC 4130 mentions the following,
AS2-Version: 1.1 - Designates those implementations that support compression as defined by RFC 3274.

The "RFC 3274 is : Compressed Data Content Type for Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS)"
So WPG compresses the data and formats it in the format defined in RFC 3274.
