Error description

  • If IBM Business Monitor must access the Cognos server via an
    HTTP server, Cognos cache clearing via the administrative
    console fails, with an error similar to the following:
    
    CWMDS5901E: Failed to run the Cognos task to clear cache for
    model My_MM and version 20120823120000. Details:
    com.ibm.websphere.management.cmdframework.CommandException:
    CWMTC2226I:
    The Cognos service endpoint was not found.

    The Cognos cache clearing service in IBM Business Monitor
    contained checking for an HTTP server, but it made incorrect
    assumptions about how the HTTP server is represented in the
    base WebSphere Application Server configuration, so it did not
    work in all configurations.  This checking logic has been
    corrected.
    The problem will be resolved in future maintenance releases
    of Version 7.5.1 and Version 8.0.
