PK81332 resolves the following problem:

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
PK72036 was a WebUI APAR that fixed a security problem. PK70955 was the runtime partner to this APAR in that it inserted headers into RAS log files and provided an MBean Operation that the WebUI could call to verify that a file was indeed a RAS log file. Certain startup orders, however, caused this MBean operation to return false negatives. That is, to report valid RAS log files as not valid (and thus not viewable on the console). This Interim Fix resolves the startup timing issue.

LOCAL FIX:

PROBLEM SUMMARY

USERS AFFECTED:
Users of IBM WebSphere Application Server who view log files in the Administrative Console.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
RAS log files are not properly identified as such (header issues) and thus not viewable from console.

RECOMMENDATION:
Apply the fix or upgrade to a current fix pack on V6.0.2 or V6.1.

This APAR provides a replacement Interim Fix for PK70955.

PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
With this Interim Fix, RAS files are now properly identified and startup order issues are resolved. Current fix packs, which contain PK70955 also resolve this problem. The fix for APAR PK70955 is included in fix packs as of 6.0.2.33 and 6.1.0.21.
