• Deploying EBA applications and Composition Unit extensions

  Blueprint scanning happens for bundles without any blueprint
  header as required by the OSGi Blueprint specification.
  Blueprint scanning is expensive and causes the performance
  problems.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR introduces a custom property:
  
  org.apache.aries.blueprint.header.mandatory (default 'false')
  
  The property must be set as a Java system property:
  
  Click Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers >
  server_name, and then, under Server Infrastructure, click Java
  and process management > Process definition > Java virtual
  machine > Custom properties
  
  Add a new property with the name
  'org.apache.aries.blueprint.header.mandatory' and value 'true'
  or 'false'.
  
  When set to 'true', bundles with blueprint must have a
  blueprint header.  This allows apache aries to avoid expensive
  scanning when there is no blueprint header.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.0.2.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
