  • Modifying WSJPA so that logging is routed to System Out
insteadof System Err

Installation can be verified by invoking wsjpaversion.sh in the
profile/bin directory:

When a persistence unit is configured with the OpenJPA custom
property, "openjpa.Log", to generate debug messages, the
messages are sent to standard error instead of standard out.

Problem conclusion

  • Debug logging configured by persistence unit property will now
be logged to standard output (SystemOut.log), instead of
standard error (SystemErr.log).

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 8.5.0.2. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
