Error description

  • When deploying with Rational Application Developer the Session
Initiation Protocol (SIP) sar to war process is skipped and
therefor the SIP annotataion processing is not being done.
Rational Application Developer is copying information from the
sip.xml to the web.xml deployment descriptor but the
annotation reading should be done by the SIP container

    ****************************************************************
Rational Application Developer is not going through the SIP
container sar to war process. This process is responsible for
reading the SIP annotations during deployment time

Problem conclusion

  • When deploying with Rational Application Developer, the SIP
container uses AMM to read the SIP annotations during startup
time instead of reading them during deployment time.

To enable this behavior users must set new SIP custom property:
In the Administrative console, go to:
    Application servers > server1 > SIP container > Custom
    properties

Add new custom property by clicking on new.
    Set the name to sip.support.amm.annotation.reading
    Set the value to true

save and exit. You will need to restart the SIP container
    after adding the custom property

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 1.0.0.11. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
