APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • There is a deserialization issue after WAS failover.
    Consider a serialized attribute set on the SIP session, when the
    attribute contains a member with a reference to its parent (the
    attribute).

    Upon failover, the attribute is deserialized and its member
    contains a reference to a new instance of its parent.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When serializing or deserializing an attribute in
    ReplicationOutputStream and ReplicationInputStream we used
    ObjectOutputStream.writeUnshared() and
    ObjectInputStream.readUnshared()
    accordingly.

Problem conclusion

  • Added a custom property: replicate.sip.object.attribute.
    When this is set to true, ReplicationOutputStream and
    ReplicationInputStream will use
    ObjectOutputStream.writeObject() and
    ObjectInputStream.readObject()
    accordingly.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 1.0.0.11. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
