Error description
Top-level text nodes may have same identity
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM WebSphere Application Server * * 7.0 with Feature Pack for XML 1.0.0.5 or * * earlier * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Top-level text nodes may have same * * identity * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Top-level text nodes constructed in XSLT or XQuery may be treated as though they have the same identity, so an expression that results in duplicate elimination may inadvertently remove distinct text nodes. For example, the XQuery expression (text {"a"}, text {"b"}, text{"c"})/. may evaluate to a singleton sequence containing one text node "a".
Problem conclusion
The text nodes are now correctly recognized as having distinct indentities such that they are not removed by duplicate elimination. This APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in the Feature Pack for XML 1.0.0.7.
