    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The application is unable to override *
    * an invalid connection factory name *
    * set on the EntityManagerFactory. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The connection factory name (JNDI location of a datasource)
    which is used by OpenJPA may be set when the
    EntityManagerFactory or the EntityManager is created.

    If the JNDI name set on the EntityManagerFactory is not valid
    or unavailable that value is always used - a value set when
    the EntityManager is created cannot override it.

Problem conclusion

  • The JPA provider has been updated to check whether the
    EntityManagerFactory has a valid connection factory name, if
    not the JPA provider will attempt to use one that is set on
    the EntityManager.

    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 1.0.0.1. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
