APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In some circumstances such as the select value of the
xsl:analyze-string or the value of a literal attribute when
specified as an attribute value template where the expression
results in a seqeuence of more than one item, the processor will
fail to discard the extra items in backwards compatibility
mode. This may result in an error ( XPTY0004 ) as in the case
of xsl:analyze-string or in the processor concatenating the
string values of all the items in the sequence together as in
the case of the value of a literal attribute.

Problem conclusion

  • Code is now being generated in backwards compatibility mode
that will convert the sequence to a singleton in the described
    circumstances.
