Error description

  • Error XTDE0430 is reported if an XSLT stylesheet constructs
an element using a literal result element or an xsl:element
instruction, and the content of the element includes a
namespace node that declares the same prefix as the element,
but with a different namespace URI.

    ****************************************************************
If an element is constructed by an XSLT stylesheet using a
literal result element or an xsl:element instruction, and the
element's name has a prefix and the content of the element
includes a namespace node that declares the same prefix as the
element but with a different namespace URI, the XSLT processor
should select a different prefix for the element name to
resolve the conflict. The XSLT processor reports an error
    instead.

Problem conclusion

  • Whenever there is a conflict between the prefix specified on an
attribute node in the content of an element and the prefix
declared by a namespace node in the content of the same element,
the XSLT processor resolves the conflict by selecting a
different prefix for the attribute node, as is required by the
XSLT 2.0 specification. This process of resolving conflicts
should be applied to the name of the element itself as well.

The problem was resolved by fixing the processor to include the
names of elements in the process of checking for and resolving
conflicts between the prefixes specified for the elements and
attributes and those specified on namespace nodes.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 1.0.0.3. Please refer to the Recommended Updates
