  *                      and keeps them open for the entire      *
  *                      process lifetime.                       *

  When the application sends multiple messages to the same
  destination over stream transport (either TCP or TLS) at the
  same time, the container creates a separate connection for
  each message. The connections remain open for the entire
  process lifetime. Under load, this problem may lead to resource
  exhaustion.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem is fixed in the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)
  container. With this fix, the container never creates more
  than one outbound connection to the same target.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 1.0.0.1 for the Feature Pack for Communications
  Enabled Applications.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
