APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• We sometimes get a CTL-4 out of UFI9 during CRUISE Verify/Pack .
  The dump only happens when we are specifying FVN, we have at
  least 1 find error and we collect statistics. We also have to
  have a forward chain in the IR record. If we only have a prime
  IR record then it works.

  ABSTRACT OF PROBLEM
  ___________________
  Possible  CTL-I000004  dump from UFI9 (statistics update) during
  CRUISE chainchase.
  
  COMMENTS ON PROBLEM
  ___________________
  During chainchase, when CRUISE detects a broken chain  it  calls
  UFI9  to  update  the  error count.   UFI9 needs the ID and file
  version of the broken chain to  update  the  correct  statistics
  slot.    The  current file version is normally set up in EBW039,
  but when a reference is retrieved it is still set  up  with  the
  file version of the "from-reference".  So, prior to calling UFI9
  the  "to-reference"  file version is set up in EBW039.  However,
  after the statistics update it is never restored to its previous
  value.  So, when a forward chain is  retrieved  for  the  "from-
  reference",  the  statistics  update  is done with the incorrect
  file version which will cause an incorrect entry and possibly  a
  CTL-I000004 dump.
  

Problem conclusion

• SOLUTION
  ________
  In all chainchase monitor segments (UFI3, UFI4, UFI6, UFI7), the
  current  file  version  (EBW039) is saved before it is modified,
  and then restored after the statistics update has been done.
