PM96299: SMF 117 RECORDS SHOW CPU TIME GREATER THAN ELAPSED TIME

Error description

• SMF 117 records show that the value of the IMFLTPCP
  (Total CPU time) field is greater than the value of
  the IMFLTPTM (Total elapsed time) field. This is
  because on some platforms, the CPU timer may not be as
  accurate as the elapsed (wall clock) timer, and this
  can cause the CPU time to appear slightly higher.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  The statistics and accounting records show that the value of the
  Total CPU time field is greater than the value of
  the Total elapsed time field. This is because on some platforms,
  the CPU timer may not be as accurate as the
  elapsed (wall clock) timer, and this can cause the CPU time to
  appear slightly higher.

Problem conclusion

• The product has been modified so that the statistics and
  accounting Total CPU time field will never be greater than the
  Elapsed time field.
