Error description
After enabling triggering on SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE, trying to create a queue, or other similar operations requiring authorization checks, may cause the OAM, and hence the queue manager, to hang. Forcing an FDC to be created using "kill -SIGUSR2" on the hung MQ process for amqzfuma will produce the following FDC, or similar (basically, a hang in function aouLockObjectCatalogue waiting for a lock): Probe Id :- XC307255 Component :- xlsRequestMutex Program Name :- amqzfuma Major Errorcode :- OK Minor Errorcode :- OK Probe Type :- INCORROUT Probe Description :- AMQ6109: An internal WebSphere MQ error has occurred. Local fix
Disable triggering on SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE.
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: A user who enables triggering on SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE is likely to encounter this problem. Platforms affected: All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: Enabling triggering on SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE is likely to result in a recursive attempt to lock the object catalogue, and hence a hang (deadlock). In the design of the OAM it was not anticipated that triggering would be set on SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE.
Problem conclusion
The OAM has been changed to ignore any triggering set for SYSTEM.AUTH.DATA.QUEUE. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: v6.0 Platform Fix Pack 6.0.2.11 -------- -------------------- Windows U200326 AIX U839822 HP-UX (PA-RISC) tbc_p600_0_2_11 HP-UX (Itanium) U840690 Solaris (SPARC) U840686 Solaris (x86-64) U840693 iSeries tbc_p600_0_2_11 Linux (x86) U840687 Linux (x86-64) U840692 Linux (zSeries) U840688 Linux (Power) U840689 Linux (s390x) U840691 v7.0 Platform Fix Pack 7.0.1.5 -------- -------------------- Windows U200324 AIX U839183 HP-UX (PA-RISC) U839621 HP-UX (Itanium) U839626 Solaris (SPARC) U839622 Solaris (x86-64) U839628 iSeries tbc_p700_0_1_5 Linux (x86) U839623 Linux (x86-64) U839627 Linux (zSeries) U839624 Linux (Power) U839625 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available, information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
