IZ87162: XMS .NET PERSISTENT MESSAGE DOES NOT GET ACKNOWLEDGED AND NEVER REMOVED FROM THE SERVER EVEN AFTER THE RECEIPT OF THE MESSAGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Persistent messages are consumed but not acknowledged so when
  closing the application, persistent messages are put back on
  the queue ( not removed on the get). XMS is not sending back
  the acknowledgment for persistent messages. The ack is expected
  for persistent messages. NON persistent messages get
  acknowledged and are removed. When the original message is put
  on the queue using XMS (with jms headers) the message is
  processed OK by the listener. When the message is posted with
  XMS without jmsheaders the message is rolled back as well by
  the listener when closing.

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  Server expects the acknowledgement for the persistence message
  before removing them from the queue. XMS is not sending the
  acknowledgement to the server even after the successful receipt
  of the message.
  

Problem conclusion

• XMS .NET client code is modified to acknowledge the persistence
  messages.
