Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All users of WebSphere Message Broker that need to set JVM
properties on an individual execution group.

    Platforms Affected:
    All Platforms
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
WebSphere Message Broker does not allow a user to set Java
System properties on an individual execution group.
Currently, user's are required to set values for all execution
    groups using an environment variable.

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere Message Broker was changed to allow Java system
properties to be set via the mqsichangeproperties command.
The following is an example of how to use the new property:
    mqsichangeproperties TEST -e default -o ComIbmJVMManager -n
    jvmSystemProperty -v "-DMyTest=0 -DMyTest2=Test2"
Will set the System properties -DMyTest=0 and -DMyTest2=Test2.

The mqsireportproperties command will return the value of the
    current setting.
