  *                 the V5.3 DataDirect Drivers.                 *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Message flows which interact with an    *
  *                      SQL Server database can hang when the   *
  *                      SQL statement is executed. No further   *
  *                      input messages are processed by the     *
  *                      message flow and the execution group    *
  *                      becomes unresponsive to reconfiguration *
  *                      requests like mqsireload and has to be  *
  *                      killed manually.                        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Message flows that execute SQL statements against a SQL Server
  database can hang. A defect in the DataDirect SQL Server
  ODBC driver causes the driver to hang when executing an
  SQL statement that includes multiple tabs.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker has been modified to include a new
  DataDirect SQL Server driver where the hang no longer occurs.
