  The XML and XMLNS parsers support the XML.Element and
  XMLNS.Element selectors in ESQL however there is no equivelent
  XMLNSC.Element for the XMLNSC parser. This means that in the
  XMLNSC domain there is no simple way to query for the first
  child of an element which is itself an element. This prevents
  customers from migrating some ESQL from the XML or XMLNS
  parsers to the XMLNSC parser.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker was modified to support the
  XMLNSC.Element selector with the same semantics as the
  XML.Element and XMLNS.Element selectors.
