APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• InquireChannel PCF command with ChannelType parameter does not
  return all of the requested channel details. Only the first
  requested channel attribute is returned, or the description in
  the case of MQIACF_ALL.
  

Local fix

• As a temporary workaround then the customer could consider
  reordering  the PCF message so that the ChannelType
  is specified before the ChannelAttrs.
  

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users who have written PCF applications that use
  MQCMD_INQUIRE_CHANNEL, and that specify an explicit ChannelType
  AFTER the ChannelAttrs in the PCF message.
  
  Platforms affected:
  All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  When parsing the PCF Inquire Channel command then the command
  server is overwriting the number of attributes requested by the
  ChannelAttrs parameter when processing the ChannelType
  attribute. Thus if the ChannelType attribute is specified after
  the ChannelAttrs attribute then the number of channel
  attributes becomes incorrect (i.e 1).
  

Problem conclusion

• The parsing of the InquireChannel command was corrected not to
  use the same variable when parsing the ChannelAttrs and
  ChannelType structures.
