Error description

• When connecting from WebSphere Application Server using
  WebSphere  MQ classes for JMS 7.0.1.7 or later to an alias queue
  and an SPINotify call is invoked, an FDC file is generated with
  the following key fields:

  Probe Id          :- AO173001
  Component         :- aouLockObjectCatalogue
  and / or
  
  Probe Id          :- AO175001
  Component         :- aouLockQHandle

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users of WebSphere MQ that are utilizing alias queues.
  
  Platforms affected:
  All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
  ****************************************************************
  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  If an application is attempting to get from an alias queue and
  no message is available then a thread on the queue manager will
  wait for a message. If the application then no longer wants that
  application then the thread is woken up via a SPINotify call.
  
  During this SPINotify call the wakeup fails due to an internal
  attempt to lock the object catalogue when the alias queue is
  locked, which violates the locking rules. The FDC is generated
  due to this failure.
  

Problem conclusion

• The WebSphere MQ code has been corrected to ensure that the
  locking in the area concerned follows the required locking
  rules.
