Error description

  • When WebSphere MQ client automatic reconnection option is
    enabled and a transient network failure occurs while MQPUTs are
    taking place, an access violation exception occurs.
    The following FDC is reported:

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    WebSphere MQ applications using the queue manager auto reconnect
    feature.
    
    Platforms affected:
    All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    Memory access violation errors are reported when the WebSphere
    MQ client attempts to reconnect to the queue manager following
    a connection failure.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The WebSphere MQ code is modified to clean up the failed
    connections from the connection list
