Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users using WMQ 7.0.1.7 onwards and utilizing channel 'conname' may encounter this problem which was introduced by APAR IV01586 Platforms affected: All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: The problem was introduced by an erroneous piece of code which copies the port and keeps uninitialized memory buffer. The uninitialized trailing portion of the buffer was subsequently filled in by junk characters. Code was added in 7.0.1.7 which fails fully to initialize a character buffer.
Problem conclusion
