Error description

  • With WebSphere Message Broker 7, for each message that is
published, an additional MQRFH2 is inserted before the MQRFH2
that contains the published user data.

Many of your applications fail due to this change in
    publish/subscribe.

With WebSphere Message Broker 7, if a message with a single
MQRFH2 is published, the subscriber receives a message with two
MQRFH2 headers, causing a problem for the application.

The same symptoms are observed using WebSphere MQ 7 queued
    publish/subscribe.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of WebSphere MQ 7 queued publish/subscribe or WebSphere
Message Broker 7 publish/subscribe with user data in an MQRFH2
    header.

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
When a message published using queued publish/subscribe or
WebSphere Message Broker was delivered to an RFH2 subscriber, an
MQRFH2 header was created containing properties in the psc
folder. This was prepended to the message. If the message
already contained an MQRFH2 header this led to the message being
delivered with an additional MQRFH2 header.

Problem conclusion

  • When the publish/subscribe properties are converted to MQRFH2
format, they will, where possible, be merged into an existing
MQRFH2 header instead of being added as an additional header.
