APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • An MQ managed .NET client application which sets the
CertficateLabel via a HashTable or MQEnvironment properties in
uppercase fails to connect to the queue manager with a RC=2059
when the FriendlyName of the certificate in windows certificate
    store
    is in uppercase as well.

The queue manager logs AMQ9637 error
AMQ9637: During handshake, the remote partner sent no
    certificate.

Local fix

  • Use a lowercase CertificateLabel via hash table or via
MQEnvironment when using a upper case Friendly name for the
certificate added to windows certificate store.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic error in the MQ managed .NET classes meant that when
certificate label with upper case is set via hashtable or
MQEnvironment property, .NET client is unable to pick
appropriate certificates (uppercase FriendlyName) from windows
    certificate store.

Problem conclusion

  • MQ managed .NET client code has been corrected to pick the right
certificate (uppercase FriendlyName) from windows certificate
store when uppercase certificatelabel is set via hashtable or
    MQEnvironment property.
