APAR status

Error description

  • The MQ Appliance might reload due to a watchdog restart when
    querying status of queue manager or system resources using
    WebGUI or REST API.
    
    When this occurs, the following can be observed on the
    backtrace file generated at the time of the reload.
    
    WATCHDOG RESTART is detected.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A defect in MQ appliance code which manages querying status of
    queue manager and system resources incorrectly triggered a hung
    process detection timeout resulting in appliance reload.
    

Problem conclusion

  • MQ appliance code which manages querying status of queue manager
    and system resources has been modified to prevent this reload
    due to an incorrect hung process detection.
