IT37311: MQ AGENT ABENDS IF APPLICATION IS STOPPED DURING AN MQI OPERATION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An MQ agent process (amqzlga0) may abend if an
  application program is stopped suddenly while it is
  executing an MQI call.  This can also happen if
  a NonStop CPU/processor fails.
  

Local fix

• Avoid using the TACL stop, #abend or OSS kill commands
  against MQ application programs that are using the
  queue manager.
  

Problem summary

• The MQ agent is not properly handling an unexpected
  disconnection or close of an application program.
  

Problem conclusion

• The MQ agent has been revised to detect and handle the
  sudden disconnection of an MQ application program.
