APAR status

Error description

  • When replacing an IBM MQ Appliance node in an HA group where the
    partner
    node (20) has a DR secondary qmgr , the
    crthagrp -s password -r command fails with rc71 when run the
    partner HA node after running prepareha command on the
    replacement MQA node.
    
    The following was recorded in the crthagrp.log file....

Local fix

  • Delete the DR Secondary definition of the queue manager from the
    HA partner node and rerun the crthagrp command.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The crthagrp command fails to recreate the HA group if there are
    DR Secondary queue managers.
    A defect in querying the queue manager information caused the
    failure in crthagrp.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The crthagrp command on the IBM MQ Appliance has been modified
    to resolve the issue.
