  • IBM MQ ships Apache Commons components embedded within its
installation, and a newer version of some of the Apache Commons
libraries are available.

USERS AFFECTED:
The component of MQ which utilises the embedded Apache Common
Net library is:

  IBM MQ Managed File Transfer


Platforms affected:
MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The IBM MQ v8.0 releases are supplied with the Apache Common Net
library.

The released versions of these utilities within the previous IBM
MQ Fix Pack on the MQ v8.0 releases were:

  Apache Commons Net v.3.6

Updated versions of these libraries are available from Apache
Commons.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The version of Apache Commons Net JAR files shipped within the
IBM MQ Managed File Transfer component have been updated to the
following versions:

  Apache Commons Net v.3.7.2

The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs:

v9.x CD    9.2.2
