Error description

  • Running the setmqenv command from a dash shell reports errors
    similar to the following:
    
    $ . ./setmqenv
    -su: 69: ./setmqenv: Bad substitution
    -su: 115: ./setmqenv: /../bin/mqrc: not found
    -su: 1: ./setmqenv: /../bin/crtmqenv: not found

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The setmqenv script did not work when not sourced from a bash
    shell because it was unable to determine the installation path
    

Problem conclusion

  • The setmqenv script has been updated to improve its ability to
    detect the installation location when running in a dash shell.
    In scenarios where the installation location cannot be
    determined, the script advises the user to set the
    LCL_MQ_INSTALLATION_PATH variable to reference the installation
    path and retry.
