APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The amqsrua utility might fail with reason code 2033, if
    SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE has CAPEXPRY set

    mqa(mqcli)# amqsrua -m A1
    Appliance AMQSRUAA started
    Appliance AMQSRUAA Initialized
    Appliance AMQSRUAA SigHandlers Initialized
MQGET ended with reason code 2033

Local fix

  • Modify the SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE to use the desired queue
parameters for using amqsrua with, then revert changes to the
SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE after amqsrua work is complete.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users using amqsrua

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
amqsrua uses SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE by default for its
    resource usage reporting.
If the user alters the property (e.g CAPEXPIRY) of
    SYSTEM.DEFAULT.MODEL.QUEUE, it affects amqsrua
and amqsrua does not provide option to use a different model
    queue

Problem conclusion

  • amqsrua has been enhanced to include the ability to designate a
    specific model
queue to be used with it using -s parameter.

    E.g: amqsrua -m QM1 -s <Name of the model queue to be supplied>
