APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Enabling IgnoreSeqNumberMismatch allows a channel to start if it
has a sequence number mismatch. However, the AMQ9703 error
message is generated for each message received on the receiver
    side.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
There was a defect in the MQ code which implements the
IgnoreSeqNumberMismatch feature, such that it did not store the
    altered sequence number. This caused
the AMQ9703 error message to be generated for each message
    received on the receiver side.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ code has been corrected to store the altered sequence
number, and generate AMQ9703 error message only once.

    Changes to MQ documentation:

The tuning parameter IgnoreSeqNumberMismatch needs to be set on
    the receiver queue manager.
