APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The user wishes to specify MCAUSER('*NOACCESS') on all SYSTEM
channels that are not actively used.

The user has not installed the AMQP component, and thus the
    AMQPCAP is NO.

Therefore, runmqsc gives errors similar to those below.

    ALTER CHANNEL(SYSTEM.DEF.AMQP) CHLTYPE(AMQP)
    MCAUSER('*NOACCESS')

AMQ8494I: AMQP commands are not available.

Local fix

  • In MQ 9.1.0.x, temporarily install the AMQP fileset, restart
the queue manager, perform the ALTER command, then stop queue
manager, remove the AMQP fileset and restart the queue manager.
