USERS AFFECTED:
The component of MQ which utilises the embedded ICU4J JAR files
is:

  IBM MQ Managed File Transfer


Platforms affected:
MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
 The IBM MQ v8.0/v9.0/v9.1 releases are supplied with the ICU4J
jar files.

The released versions of these utilities within the previous IBM
MQ Fix Pack on the MQ v8.0/v9.0/v9.1 releases were:

IBM MQ v8.0:
  icu4j v52.1
  icu4j-charset v52.1
  icu4j-localespi v52.1

IBM MQ v9.0:
  icu4j v56.1
  icu4j-charset v56.1
  icu4j-localespi v56.1

IBM MQ v9.1:
  icu4j v60.2
  icu4j-charset v60.2
  icu4j-localespi v60.2

These are not the most recent versions of the libraries, as
available from Apache Commons.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The version of ICU4J jars shipped within the IBM MQ Managed File
Transfer component has been updated to the following versions:

icu4j v66.1
icu4j-charset v66.1
icu4j-localespi v66.1

The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs:
