    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When a client uses MQOPEN to open many queues in a distribution
list then this may fail with an MQRC_CONNECTION_BROKEN return
code and an rrcE_PROTOCOL_ERROR FDC with probe identifier
RM680078 is generated on the server.

The problem was caused by the queue manager's channel code using
an incorrect variable in a data validation test when validating
the data received from the client.

Problem conclusion

  • The queue manager channel code was corrected so that validation
    checks used the correct variable.
