Error description

  • MQ .NET managed client sending a userid and password to a queue
manager can result in an unaligned protocol flow being
received. In this situation, a failure data capture (FDC) record
is generated with this info:

RM680010 rriBadDataReceived rrcE_PROTOCOL_ERROR

AMQ9504E: A protocol error was detected for channel

USERS AFFECTED:
All users using a fully managed .NET MQ client sending MQCSP
credentials over a multiplexed client channel are potentially
affected.


Platforms affected:
Windows

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The size of the protocol flow used to send MQCSP username and
password data over a network connection varies according to the
credentials used. The MQ protocol requires that padding is used
in some circumstances. The MQ .NET client did not correctly
perform this padding.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The routine to calculate the size of the transmission segment to
send MQCSP data is corrected.
