Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users who have configured the MQ Appliance
web management interface to run on port 443.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The IBM MQ Console runs within the MQ Appliance web management
interface. The web management interface is responsible for
receiving incoming connections, and routing these connection to
the IBM MQ Console, if the user wishes to view MQ dashboards.

If the web management interface is running on port 443, then a
coding error caused the web management interface to fail to
correctly form the request when routing connections to the IBM
MQ Console, leading to the 500 error code being displayed to the
    user.

Problem conclusion

  • The web management interface logic has been updated such that
the request to the IBM MQ Console is correctly formed when
running on port 443, so that connections can be correctly routed
    to the IBM MQ Console.
