The problem is in ccxPoolRealloc where an assumption and check
is made that a primary conversation exists. This assumption is
only correct when sharing conversations is negotiated to 1 or
    higher.

Local fix

  • Set SHARECNV to 1 or higher

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Any user with clients that connect to a queue manager using a
non-multiplexed channel connection may be affected.

    Platforms affected:
AIX, IBM iSeries, Linux on Power, Linux on S390, Linux on
x86-64, Linux on zSeries, Solaris x86-64, Solaris SPARC, Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
An MQ client may cause a queue manager to need to resize a
staging area buffer to handle the response of an MQI call. This
may be needed where an MQI call returns a larger response than
its request, the MQGET API is an example of such a call. The
code that resizes the staging area on the queue manager side of
the connection makes an invalid assumption that the connection
is always using a multiplexed connection and incorrectly issues
an FFST indicating a bad parameter.

Problem conclusion

  • The buffer reallocation code that assumes a multiplexed
connection is being used on the server is corrected to permit
    both multiplexed and non-multiplexed connections.
