Error description

  • If Queue Managers configured for HA/DR are unable to ping their
remote partner's DR interface due to a transitory issue, this
may cause the queue managers to fail over to their HA partner
device.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
HA queue managers that are also configured for DR had no
tolerance to transitory ping failures to their DR partner. HA/DR
Queue Managers regularly perform a ping to their DR partner's
heartbeat interface and intermittent failures could cause queue
managers fail over unwantedly.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The code has been modified to monitor the connection state of
the data replication component to minimize use of network pings
and alleviate false positives.
