Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of MQ on HP-UX who apply Fix Pack 8.0.0.9, 9.0.0.3 or
    later.

    Platforms affected:
    HP-UX Itanium

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The Fix Packs remove some files that were shipped in
earlier releases of MQ but which are no longer required.

To completely remove these files they must be removed
from both the MQ installation location on disk and references
to the file definitions must be removed from the MQ filesets.

Due to a programming error the install script attempted to
    remove
some file definitions which were not in the filesets. This
resulted in the error messages that appeared in the job log.
These messages can be safely ignored.

Problem conclusion

  • The Fix Pack installation code has been fixed so that the
    errors no longer occur.
