Problem summary

    commands.

    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
After applying the IBM MQ V8.0.0.9 Fix Pack, some MQ Managed
File Transfer commands that fail display an error message to the
user that contains the string "$PRODUCT_NAME$". For example:

BFGCL0002E: A messaging problem prevented the command from
completing successfully. The $PRODUCT_NAME$ completion code was
<insert_0>, and the reason code was <insert_1>. A connection
could not be established to queue manager <insert_2>, on host
    ''<insert_3>'' using port <insert_4> and channel <insert_5>.

This issue only affects select informational, warning and error
messages for Managed File Transfer commands that begin with
    "BFGCL".

Problem conclusion

  • The Managed File Transfer command messages have been updated to
print "WebSphere MQ" in the message text and not $PRODUCT_NAME$,
as they did prior to MQ V8.0.0.9.
