Error description

  • If a Disaster Recovery (DR) queue manager has dots in its name,
    for example:
    .
    AAA.BBB.CCC
    .
then when viewing the DR status panel in the WebUI, the queue
manager with dots in the name has status "Unknown". The status
of the same queue manager is shown as "Running" when viewed
    using the mqcli.
    .
For a DR queue manager with no dots in its name, the status in
the WebUI is shown as "Normal" and as "Running" in the mqli.

Local fix

  • Check the DR queue manager status using the mqcli:
    mqa(mqcli)# status QMgr_Name

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A logic omission meant that queue manager names containing a dot
character were not correctly translated into the correct format
when querying the queue manager's DR status.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ Appliance logic that queries the queue manager status has
been modified to fix this issue.
