Error description
The strmqm -r command starts the queue manager for replay the log files to update the manager. After completion of the replay the queue manager displays the log extents required for queue manager restart recovery and media recovery. The queue manager also logs the information in the queue manger log files. The log extent displayed for media recovery was correct, but the log extent logged in the AMQ7468 message in the queue manager error logs was incorrect. Output from strmqm -r: strmqm -r QMGR IBM MQ queue manager 'QMGR' is being started for replay. The queue manager is associated with installation 'Installation1'. The oldest log file required to start queue manager QMGR is S0000006.LOG. The oldest log file required to perform media recovery of queue manager QMGR is S0000001.LOG. IBM MQ queue manager 'BACKUPQMGR' replay completed. Excerpt from error log: AMQ7468: The oldest log file required to perform media recovery of queue manager QMGR is S0000006.LOG. EXPLANATION: The log file S0000006.LOG contains the oldest log record required to recreate any of the objects from their media images. Any log files prior to this will not be accessed by media recovery operations. ACTION: Use this information together with the information in the most recent AMQ7467 message. Archivable log files are all those older than BOTH S0000006.LOG and the log file mentioned in the AMQ7467 message.
