Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of MQ client applications which use the
asynchronous consume functionality to retrieve messages from a
    queue.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Under certain circumstances the queue manager incorrectly copied
memory between two overlapping buffers which led to a corruption
of a message's MQMD data. The corrupt MQMD was sent to the
client which detected the corruption and reported an internal
    error.

Problem conclusion

  • The MQ code within the queue manager has been updated to prevent
    this invalid memory copy.
