APAR status

Error description

  • When attempting to start the queue manager after installing
    fixpack WMQ 8.0.0.5 the queue manager will not start and you
    may receive a error AMQ6109 and FDC with probe ID XC130004 if
    the qm.ini contains a comment or blank line under the SSL
    stanza.
    

Local fix

  • Remove comments or blank lines after the SSL stanza in the
    qm.ini file.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The startup of an MQ 8.0.0.5 queue manager failed with an FDC
    with a probe identifier of XC130004 if the qm.ini file had a
    comment or blank line under the SSL stanza.  A related issue was
    found where the code that read a specific string from the qm.ini
    file was also continuing to search after finding the string.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The qm.ini parsing code was corrected to ignore comment lines
    and exit out from the search loop if it finds the required
    string.
