IT06789: WEBSPHERE MQ ON WINDOWS REPORTS MSDTC.EXE CRASH IN AMQMTSXATM.DLL

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The Microsoft transaction manager may crash with an access
  violation when running with MQ.
  In consequence an FDC file and minidump are generated with
  information similar to the following:

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users running MQ application processes such that MQ libraries
  may be reloaded by Windows. The problem is most commonly seen
  where an application is using Microsoft distributed transactions
  and the MSDTC process unloads and later reloads the module that
  gives addressability to the MQ API.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  Windows

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  On a reload of MQ libraries the address of the MQ entry point
  table for the installation to be used were not updated and
  subsequent MQ calls caused the crash if the addresses had
  changed when the libraries were reloaded.
  

Problem conclusion

• The MQ Windows libraries have been modified to correctly update
  the MQ entry point table address if it changes when the
  libraries are reloaded.
