IT06373: QUEUE MANAGER CONFIGURED TO USE CICSCONNECTIONUSERID FOR AUTHORIZING CICS TRANSACTIONS FAILS WITH MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A queue manager is configured to allow CICS transaction to be
  authorized using CICSConnectionUserId. Despite the
  CICSConnectionUserId having sufficient authorities, the CICS
  applications fail with a 2035 (MQRC_NOT_AUTHORIZED). The error
  AMQ5653 will be generated in the queue manager error log. If the
  CICS application is using the CICS user ID 'CICSUSER' and the
  queue manager is configured with a different
  user Id as CICSConnectionUserId then the following error message
  will be generated.
  
  AMQ5653: The user 'CICSUSER' is not defined.
  
  EXPLANATION:
  The system call getpwnam("CICSUSER") failed with errno 3.

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  This problem occurred because the queue manager used the CICS
  User ID sent from the application instead of the
  CICSConnectionUserId configured in the queue manager for
  authorizing CICS transactions.
  

Problem conclusion

• MQ has been modified to use the CICSConnectionUserId if
  configured in the queue manager for authorizing CICS
  transactions.
