Error description

  • The current trace records do not contain a date stamp, they only
include a time stamp. This means that once the first page of the
trace has been lost, you can no longer see the date that the
trace refers to. This applies to WebSphere MQ V7.0, V7.1, V7.5
and V8.0. The trace records from other products include a date
    stamp on every record.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The trace records written to a trace file did not contain a date
stamp at the start. They only include a time stamp of the format
    HH:MM:SS.SSS.CC

The date when a trace was started was recorded in the first
trace file that was created. If the first trace file was lost,
it was not possible to see the date when the trace was started
and the trace entries were written.

Problem conclusion

  • The trace mechanism has been changed to add a date stamp to
    every trace record.

This means that every trace record will start with a date/time
stamp field in the format [DD/MM/YY HH:MM:SS.SSS.CC].
